Become a member of the Northern Timber Cruisers Snowmobile and Cross Country Ski Club

Whether you are a resident of Maine or from another state or country, seriously consider joining a snowmobile club.

Maine is very fortunate to have a strong network of local club trails. By in large all of the clubs and their members are affiliated with the Maine Snowmobile Association which works year round bettering the sport of snowmobiling.

A large percentage of trails in Maine are the efforts of these small clubs. Volunteer members plan trails, obtain landowner permission, construct the trails and bridges, maintain the trails and bridges and most importantly groom the trails.

Grooming and maintenance equipment is becoming more and more expensive. Funds are raised locally along with some grants being provided, mainly from the state for these types of purchases.

Joining the local club or clubs in the area where you do the majority of riding will make a difference. Please consider doing so.

Member Benefits

As a member of the Northern Timber Cruisers Snowmobile Club you will receive a membership to the Maine Snowmobile Association also. As a member of the MSA, you will enjoy the benefits of a statewide organization working to improve the quality and safety of our trail systems as well as leading in efforts to voice our concerns to our legislatures. You will receive a monthly newspaper from the MSA and an MSA decal. You will also have contributed to the miles of groomed snowmobile and track-set cross country ski trails that the Timber Cruisers maintain.

Dependent Insurance

Two thousand dollars of accidental death and dismemberment insurance is automatically purchased for one person with membership. This coverage is for the person you list as beneficiary on the application form.

This is year round coverage, NOT JUST WHILE SNOWMOBILING OR SKIING!! Policy details found on this page at the MSA website.

Insurance for all dependents is now included in the $30.00 family club membership fee.

Another benefit are club events. Regular club suppers, kitchen open weekends and school vacation week, club rides, poker runs, antique sled events ski races, the Katahdin Area Winterfest events, and much much more!!
